Vietnam MN Chairman Tran Thanh Man Receives Deputy Chairman of DPD RI Mahyudin

MN Chairman Tran Thanh Man assessed that the scope of trade cooperation between the two countries is still large and the target of bilateral trade value reaching 18 billion USD in 2028 can be exceeded if both parties actively implement coordination solutions and implement cooperation agreements in the field of fisheries, develop fisheries and fisheries cultivation sustainably, prevent illegal, unreported and irregular fishing (IUU). Regarding cooperation between the parliamentary bodies of the two countries, MN Chairman Tran Thanh Man asked both parties to strengthen the exchange of delegations, high-level contacts and various levels in the future; strengthen discussions, sharing experiences between the legislative bodies of the two countries, especially between parliamentary commissions, friendship groups of legislators, female legislators and young legislators.

On his part, Deputy Chairman of the DPD RI, Mahyudin emphasized that the DPD RI Indonesia wants to foster a cooperative relationship that leads to the future, sharing the experiences of the parliaments of the two countries. When agreeing with the opinion of MN Chairman Tran Thanh Man to realize the bilateral trade value reaching 18 billion USD in 2028, the Deputy Chairman of the DPD RI Indonesia also considered that this was a target that high-level leaders of the two countries wanted to achieve. Therefore, the two parties need to concretize all targets to increase competitiveness in the region, including the digital economy, green economy, renewable energy which are the needs of both countries, creating the best legal umbrella for business entities of the two countries to develop together.
